Recently, I’ve trying to encourage my two-year-old to eat more by arranging his food in creative ways. I started posting the pics to Instagram and got such a positive response that I thought I’d share them here. Full disclosure: Most of these ideas were inspired by other blogs and sites– I can’t claim to be that creative.

“Feeling Crabby?” Today’s toddler snack looks a little wonky, but was made with lots of love. My son actually screamed with excitement when he saw it.

Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites

Sunflower Summer

Patriotic Ice Cubes: These were such a big hit 4th of July weekend! Just put them in seltzer and watch the fun colored bubbles!

Still Feeling Patriotic

Bald Eagle Cookies: My fun, but slightly sad attempt at “bald eagle cookies” – marshmallows covered in shredded coconut, with cashew beaks, atop a chocolate cookie. They looked a little more like eagles in my mind.

Nutter Butter Flip Flops: Hot summer day = nutter butter flip flops! Super fun and easy to make!
