imgres-2Whether you’re reserving a spot and paying the bill at a new restaurant on your phone or having a rotating menu of items delivered straight to your door, the newest apps are finding creative ways make five-star eating even easier. These three in particular will make dining out even more fun: download, log in, and eat up!

If you want to…dine out.

Think of Reserve as your on-call restaurant concierge. The app, created by the same startup company behind Uber and Foursquare and backed by Google Ventures, does all the hard work. Provide details (when, where, how many) and it secures you a reservation, then automatically bills you and allows you to leave feedback at the end of the meal. (Sound a little like Uber?) Although it’s currently only available in NYC, Boston, San Francisco, and LA, you can look forward to more cities becoming available soon.

If you want to…eat in.

Munchery brings delicious, five-star food to you. Every day, the app’s menu is updated with new main dishes, sides, desserts, and drinks, allowing you to order for same-day delivery or for later in the week. All meals are made with local ingredients, come properly portioned with nutrition info, and are fully cooked. The only thing you need to do? Put in them in the oven or microwave for less than ten minutes and you’re good to go. While there are certainly plenty of food delivery services out there, Munchery sets itself apart from the crowd: The chefs creating your dishes have worked in some of the country’s top restaurants from Daniel to Blue Smoke.

Download: Foodstand
If you want to…share your food and see what others are eating.

Foodstand takes Instagramming your food to a whole new level. Once you’ve joined the Foodstand community, you can snap pics of anything food related—from a farmer’s market to a restaurant to a specific meal—and provide all the details. The app lets you tag ingredients, give details about those ingredients, describe a restaurant’s ambience and more. The best part: you get to see other members’ meals and top spots, too, letting you shop for ingredients and dine at places that are truly the cream of the crop.
