Whether you’re a parent, babysitter, aunt, or caretaker, you know that kids have a super short attention span. As soon as you get them started on one activity, it seems like they lose interest and want to move onto something else. And after awhile, even the most creative parents run out of ideas.

Enter these online resources and apps – they’ll help you decide what craft to start next when you’re running low on ideas. Keep them loaded on your phone or bookmarked in your browser to banish rainy-day boredom.

1) Spoonful “Create”

Spoonful, a Disney blog, features a “Create” tab that has all sorts of craft ideas for young ones. Some recent ideas include crafts by age, crafts by type, printables, holiday and seasonal and home crafts.

2) DIY

This site is a social network for kids (monitored by parents), where they can get inspiration for new craft ideas and share what they’ve made with their friends. Kids earn virtual “patches” in a variety of categories based on how many crafts and activities they complete.

3) Kids Activities Blog

This blog, run by a crew of “Quirky mamas,” is updated every day with easy activities to do with kids. Previous crafts include salt dough bracelets, candy popsicles, hairbands and lemon batteries.

4) Kids’ Crafts

This app lists a variety of crafts and activities for children of all age levels, complete with a list of necessary materials. Browse activities by seasonal activities, gift ideas and new ideas (free, iOS).

5) Pinterest

Tons of Pinterest users post their best ideas on how to entertain kids. Search “rainy day activities for kids,” or “kids craft ideas” to browse through ideas. Follow boards you like or search through pins and create your own board of craft ideas that will work with your kids and budget.
