I take more photos than ever these days. Looking through the camera roll on my phone, I’ve documented everything from a particularly tasty meal to a family member’s birthday party. I love having these memories stored, and enjoy looking back through them to relive a special day. But then there are a million photos on my phone, and I never see them again.
People are looking for ways to bring their pictures out of their phones and into their lives. Because we can see and share photos without developing them, we don’t develop them, missing out on the joy of glancing at a photo stuck into the bathroom mirror or on the bedside table. Here are a few sites to help you get those photos out of your phone and into your hand (or on your wall, or coffee cup…).
1) Printstagram. A great way to print out your best Instagram photos. Print off your Instagram photos in several different sizes and styles. They have a ton of products available, like a calender, bound book, poster, and even stickers – all made from your favorite Instagrams.
2) CanvasPop. This site lets you print your favorite photo, Instagram or Facebook shot on canvas, making it a perfect wall decoration or gift. You’ll have the choice of a variety of sizes and styles to help you ornament your home in a very personal way.
3) Shutterfly. This mecca of digital photo printing options has tons of options like scrapbooks, posters, and holiday cards, as well as basic 3 x 5 prints. My go-to place to print photos off my camera. Create an account and upload as many photos as you want, there’s unlimited photo storage.
4) Impossible Instant Lab. Many think the age of the polaroid is gone, but the crew over at The Impossible Project would beg to differ. They are developing a polaroid style camera that works off your iPhone. Turn those iPhone snapshots into a physical photo in seconds. Not only a great gift idea, but would work well at a wedding or other special occasion. This is still in development, but is scheduled to come out soon. I want one!
5) CVS Photo Print App. Take your iPhone pictures and submit them for print through the CVS photo app. They offer free same day pick up, saving you time at the store. Just upload, pick the photos you want, and send them off. No more photos disappearing into the backlog of the camera roll.
6) Want more Instagrams on your stuff? Check out these links to put your photos everywhere.
- On coasters (Instagrams would look so pretty sitting on a coffee table)
- Make magnets to decorate the fridge
- Or even on your Nike sneakers!
- On your phone case (In our office, Randi’s phone case features her toddler son)
What do you do with your favorite photos? Do you miss having print-outs of photos?
